of July 2007 saw the donation of text books and school desks to the

senior staff from the Central Prison, Buea, attended a seminar on Human Rights
and Prison, ... 20/04/2007 The Director of CAJAD [Centre d’Amination des Jeunes pour l’Appui au Development], a human rights NGO base in Limbe paid a courtesy visit to our office this day the 11th April 2007.
‘In today’s Africa – ravaged by arm conflict, AIDS and poverty – values education will become a most powerful weapon’ to help people to regain pride, dignity and the art of living together, stressed by Mr. A Parsuramen, Director of UNESCO-BREDA (Regional Office for Education in Africa), during a regional workshop in values-based education held in Dakar, Senegal, in April 2004. 2/04/2007 Following a recent partnership accord between AHURTOD and the Revival Gospel Radio on the 8th March 2007, AHURTOD has been allocated air time for one hour every Tuesday from 12:30 GMT to 13:30GMT on the political forum program baptised ‘Talking Point’ presented by Mr. Noyo Celes with the technical assistance of Mr. Ngong Ivo all graduates from the University of Buea.
The 21st of March 2007 at the invitation of Help Out Cameroon, through CHRAPA [Center for Human Rights and Peace Advocacy] all human rights based NGOs in Buea and Bamenda respectively the active participation in the 3 days training program for Paralegal Staff to combating violence against women [VAW] with the financial support of United Nations Funds for Women [UNIFEM].
The 27 and 28 March 2007, was a day never to be the same in the history of youth organisations. At the initiative of MAYA International, and Youth for Human Rights international Liberia Chapter, AHURTOD was invited to the pioneer summit for the creation and establishment of a network to address problems of youths throughout Africa. Saturday 17 March 2007 saw a conference in Buea, Cameroon, on the issue of “Why Women and Youth should vote”. The conference was held at the Cameroon Cultural Centre in Buea, and was organized by the local NGO, the Association of Human Rights and Torture Defenders [AHURTOD].
